Hi my name is Mark Afman and I am a Residential Mortgage Specialist. Now what does that mean? Well it means that I strive to be a true Loan Consultant who wants to help you find the best loan while offering a seamless process and a carefree experience. Although I have a great deal of experience with a wide variety of loan programs, from FHA to Conventional, VA, and Jumbo loans, I have developed a niche in the first time buyer programs. Universal Lending and myself have the resources to get the job done. Universal Lending, is a company with a great legacy of over 30 years in the mortgage industry here in Denver and is dedicated to putting together the best loan programs together with technology and a "CAN-DO" attitude. I am here to help during business hours and I am available in the evenings and weekends to help you with your mortgage needs. I have a full background of experience. As the son of a Realtor who has been successful in the Denver Real Estate market for over 30 years, I understand how the real estate business functions and what it takes to make it work. I have been married for 24 years and have two daughters in college. Away from the office I enjoy time with my family, community service, outdoor activities including my passion, Fly Fishing, as well as playing both guitar and bass guitar. I enjoy many volunteer activities at various organizations around Denver and playing music at area Church's. I graduated from Calvin College (where my daughters are attending now) which is consistently rated by US News and World Report as one of the top academic liberal arts colleges in their annual America's Best Colleges issue (A little plug if you are considering where to go for after high school). I am a native Coloradoan and enjoy researching an exploring the history of Colorado. This varied background gives me something in common with everyone I have ever met.
