When first approached by Universal Lending, I was not necessarily looking to make a move. The first thing that impressed me most was that my first interview, I was invited to lunch. Not to an office for a formal interview, rather a sit-down lunch (my choice of restaurant) to get to know one another. That was followed up by another interview a few weeks later, again at a restaurant where we could now talk more about the job etc.
One of the main reasons I decided to work for ULC, was because of the people – not the job itself. I felt extremely comfortable with Corinne, she assured me that ULC was more of a family, rather than just a job. I was told that that I would be given the flexibility to go to my Senior daughters sporting events & school functions– which was very important as it was her last year.
I have been here since July 2016 and everything I was promised, everything I was told – has been nothing short of the truth. The culture of our office is wonderful, the flexibility I have to spend time with my family i.e – sick kids, sporting events etc. is invaluable. Being given the opportunity to work remote – when I need to is also one of the most valuable opportunities I can be given with my job.
Not only do I love it here, my husband also joined the team as the Operations Manager, shortly after I did.
We both consider ULC our home and intend to make this our last mortgage job – EVER
